BÁRBARA GOES

Brazilian-born Bárbara draws on the rich musical heritage of her homeland to serve up vibrant rhythms that bring house music to life. She has lived across Europe and Africa and added those experiences and a love of samba into her music. She used to be a regular on the likes of Ethique Music, Mirage Records, and Minibar. To hear her play or be lost in one of her records is to be taken on a worldly journey through colorful emotions and compelling grooves.

It was meeting French DJ and producer John Thomas that allowed Bárbara to unlock the captivating world of music production. They soon began to explore a vast musical universe and share common references, and she has also collaborated with artists such as Cabanne, Jens Zimmermann, Tom Ellis, and Ark while taking her show across the revered venues like Rex Club, Nouveau Casino, Batofar or Techno Parade in Paris and Nuits Sonores festival in Lyon.

Following this series of successes, the pair embarked on a life-changing adventure in Africa, where Bárbara immersed herself in a project centered around the essence of Brazilian barbecue. A decade later, the duo returned to Europe and started her own label, Ginga Music, which allowed her to expand on her artistic creations by fusing electronic beats with her cultural background. With a talent for fresh compositions and unique arrangements, Bárbara’s sounds have resonated globally and captured the attention of international DJs and house lovers. As such, she continues to bring electrifying energy both on stage and in the booth and remains a truly captivating artist.
