Paris-based Cobalt is part of the city’s rich contemporary underground scene. His slick sound is both deep and dynamic. His DJ sets explore the world where techno, minimal, house, breaks and electro all meet – a spaced-out world of sonic detail with infectious grooves and subtle emotions. He is someone who plays all over Paris and beyond and has been organising raves and events with Cabale Records for the last few years. He has also released on their label with further hot tracks with Pit Spector on his Excellent Choix Records.
Cobalt was a hards ore party epson before getting into DJing. He grew up attending parties all around the Parisian subs where he soaked up minimal, techno and breaks before later falling in love with house music. As well as that love of dancing and a real understanding of what gets a club going, Cobalt is also a record-digging obsessive who spends most of his time browsing in record stores throughout Europe. Now settled on a signature sound that is his own take on micro house, Cobalt is a vital voice in the modern electronic conversation.
