QUENUM

Quenum is a music lover who unites all generations with his sounds. He has been doing so for three decades now and remains a respected techno pioneer who achieved it all. From performing live at legendary clubs in London to releasing vital cuts back in the 90s on labels like Pacific Records via collaborating with the likes of Luciano and Mathew Johnson via forming Access 58 with Paulo Nascimento, he has truly helped to shape the sound of techno.

What’s said most often about QUENUM’s music is that it is elegant, warm and deep. Over the years he has produced fresh grooves on top labels like Transmat, Crosstown Rebels, Cocoon and Fabric, and remains a classic DJ whose primary concern is to bring the dancefloor to life and ensure everyone leaves feeling happy and fulfilled. As such, he has played all the most revered clubs in the US and across Europe and always leaves his unique mark.

One of QUENUM’s biggest hits is ‘Orange Mistake’ which he made alongside Luciano soon after moving to Switzerland in 2001. It was that track that encouraged them to start their own label, Cadenza, which soon became one of the most recognisible and respected labels in the scene thanks to its long list of vital releases and essential parties.

After going solo once more, for six years from 2013, QUENUM worked in partnership with Cesare vs Disorder as Azimute and toured Asia, Australia and South America, released on Serialism and ran their own label nights in Brazil, London and Berlin. For QUENUM, each collaboration is an opportunity to learn and share his passion with friends and it is that endless thirst to evolve that means he remains as in demand now as ever.
